Deputy City Attorney II/III - General and Complex Litigation Division / Community Lawyering and Civil Rights Unit

The Office of the City Attorney seeks a well-qualified individual for a Deputy City Attorney II or III position in the General and Complex Litigation Division, Community Lawyering and Civil Rights Unit, of the Office of the City Attorney. Litigation experience is required for this position.

 

Deputy City Attorney III/IV - General and Complex Litigation

The Office of the City Attorney seeks a well-qualified individual for a Deputy City Attorney III or IV position in the General and Complex Litigation Division of the Office of the City Attorney. Significant litigation experience including writ and appellate experience is desirable for this position. The majority of lawsuits against the City involve tort cases and this position will handle a significant menu of such cases as well as other cases, including but not limited to breach of contract, inverse condemnation, and civil rights. The City Attorney has sole and absolute discretion to assign the selected attorney to new, additional or different duties or practice areas in litigation, administrative proceedings or transactional work.

 

Deputy City Attorney III/IV - Real Estate, Housing, Economic Development, and Redevelopment

The Office of the City Attorney seeks a seasoned real estate and community development attorney with significant expertise in affordable housing development and finance, development and/or transactional aspects of general real estate, and secured finance work to fill the position of Deputy City Attorney III or IV, depending on experience. Expertise in land use, redevelopment, economic development, municipal law, and environmental law is a plus.

 

Neighborhood Law Corps Attorney

The Office of the City Attorney seeks a highly qualified, innovative, and community-oriented attorney who is interested in public service for the position of Neighborhood Law Corps Attorney. California Bar required.
